Single – Swain – Cross Bones Style

Swain is a Grunge band, formerly Post-Hardcore under the name “This Routine is Hell,” and they cover Cat Power’s “Cross Bones Style.” Though they’re a grunge band they chose a song that was written by a Singer/Songwriter, that being said they covered it in their style pretty well. The song in itself was already pretty slow and not very instrumentally dense so it seems like a pretty good fit. I also think they layered Cat Powers vocals over theirs which I’m not too sure on, but it gives a nice effect on the covered song.
